With a career spanning almost five decades across the rail industry, Andy Crago has built a reputation for operational excellence and strategic plant-management insight.
As a Chartered Engineer and Chartered Member of IOSH, he brings technical rigour and safety leadership to every project. Now as the Founder and Managing Director of IRTC, Andy leads a team of industry specialists who understand the complexities of railway, high-speed infrastructure, London Underground and major civils environments. His experience in lifting operations, on-track plant (OTP) services, safety-critical management and compliance ensures that IRTC’s services are rooted in real-world applications and are finely tuned to meet modern rail-sector demands.
IRTC was born to be more than just a training provider or consultancy; it is a full-spectrum partner for organisations working on rail plant operations, lifting tasks, compliance assurance and workforce development. Our approach is dynamic, responsive and rooted in operational experience: we supply competent OTP staff, deliver tailored training programmes, develop safe systems of work and undertake rigorous audits and assurance activities. We are RISQS-approved, we provide POS (Plant Operations Scheme) support, and we deliver bespoke services that respond to today’s rail-industry challenges. As a CITB ATO, we can claim grants back on your behalf if your Company qualifies.
